Raised in Lahore, she pursued her schooling and bachelor’s degree locally, achieving the status of class valedictorian and a gold medal in economics. During college, her commitment to societal change propelled her to become head of the student council, focusing on political engagement and awareness campaigns. Although opportunities in finance beckoned, she chose public service, joining the Federal Secretariat as a Young Development Fellow—a role selected from over 40,000 applicants.

Later, she transitioned to the provincial government as an analyst in the Special Monitoring Unit at the Chief Minister’s. Here, she led initiatives to enhance the supply of clean drinking water in Punjab, benefiting approximately 30 million citizens. Collaborating with experts from McKinsey, Delivery Associates, WaterAid and UNICEF, and working closely with local government officials and Governor Punjab, she helped establish a pioneering authority to ensure water access for marginalized communities.

Holding a Master of Public Policy from the University of Oxford, her interests lie in data-driven policy, technology for governance, and decentralized models of governance, aiming for impactful, sustainable change.
